Highly refined architectural resolutions to the unique requirements of each individual project.

WIDGER collaborate with their clients to transform their aspirations into reality. Working closely together to establish a meticulous design satisfying all project requirements. Proposals are guided through all necessary approvals to the end of the construction stage. Providing both a full service from concept to completion, or a tailored collaboration suited to the particular needs of the development.

WIDGER’s portfolio contains a range of beautifully crafted design solutions and built projects which are a result of a positive amalgamation of ideas between client, architect, and all associated parties. Creating unique architecture and interior proposals, yet in an increasingly intense modern world, there is a focus to provide spaces which are joyous to inhabit. Ensuring projects are conscious of energy consumption and material choices, whilst respecting the natural environment, both ethically, and for the human wellbeing of those who occupy the final outcomes. Kevin is originally from rural Dorset close to the Jurassic coastline, and the practice is founded with a strong connection and consideration for the natural environment which is prominent in the outcomes of the completed projects. Material choices, and the connection to the surrounding landscape and nature are all prioritised in designs.

Completed projects have been recognised worldwide in exhibitions, publications, design journals, and shortlisted in various completions. Including: Shortlisted and exhibited for the UK Wood Awards at the London Design Fair alongside Foster + Partners Bloomberg HQ. Shortlisted and exhibited in New London Architecture’s Don’t Move Improve Awards. Longlisted for the international Dezeen awards and featured in Dezeen’s best ‘home offices with stylish set-ups for remote working’ and published in the Swiss publication Makeover. This exposure typically enhances a projects profile, which typically increases the projects perceived value for eventual resale. It is a key consideration within the design process to only to design for the present, but with a long-term vision and focus on what a highly considered design and construction process can do to the properties eventual value.

Kevin Widger founded the practice following work positions at some of the UK’s top Architects and Designers. Leading schemes which were highly successful award-winning projects and gained international press recognition. Kevin is a registered Architect in the United Kingdom with the Architects Registration Board (ARB), this status as an Architect is also officially recognised by the 'Lietuvos Respublikos Aplinkos Ministerija' in Lithuania, which post Brexit allows Kevin to practice as an Architect in Lithuania and the rest of the European Union. Kevin completed his studies in Architecture at Kingston University, London, following the majority of his education at the University of East London gaining Distinction honours.

Alongside architectural practice, Kevin also maintains a strong relationship with academia. Teaching Architecture at BA Degree level (design and technology) since 2016 at the University of Brighton in the position of Visiting Lecturer. Whilst also teaching Interior Design MA Masters level at the University of East London. This experience means the practice in tandem is kept up to date and is inspired by the newest architectural trends, technologies, and ideologies.

This wide-ranging involvement in architectural practice and teaching ensures a vast understanding of the profession as a whole. However, it is also important to gain influences beyond the industry. Additionally, Kevin’s achievements include being a qualified swimming teaching gained following competing when younger, and still takes part in open water swim marathons. Kevin has a good understanding of the Lithuanian language after living in Vilnius for a period of time, whilst travel in general forms inspiration and influence in all work. Yet always rural England is a continuous point of reference which create a blend of a unique design perspective which WIDGER architecture is founded upon.
